OTHER RESTAURANT REVIEWS

Our diet doesn't consist of only pizza...

TOPO GIGIO RISTORANTE

Old Town, Chicago

Topo Gigio was a very impressive dining experience overall. We walked down Wells on a vibrant summer night and had a plentiful amount of appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The ambiance inside coupled with great food and service made for a wonderful night in Old Town. Highly recommend to any Italian food lover in the area.

JEFFERSON TAP

Fulton Market, Chicago

Although their pizza was incredibly mid-pack, this quiet little restaurant located just over the bridge to the west loop has a relatively unknown, but delicious brunch menu. The Nutella french toast was incredible and an affordable option if you want to skip the busy wait times with the more mainstream brunch spots.

WHATABURGER

Austin, Texas

Out of left field, this well-known burger joint is beloved by Texan natives all across the country. However, in my experience, the classic Whataburger meal was no better than your average fast food burger. I'm not sure what all the hype is about, I'd rather eat Burger King if I'm being honest...

BERNIE'S

River North, Chicago

Bernie's has been one of my favorite spots since I moved to River North. The atmosphere gives me "Friday afternoon, logged off early" vibes; you can't beat the rooftop patio seating. This particular experience I ordered their buffalo chicken sandwich. It wasn't the best, but the portion was great and the flavor was definitely there. I would recommend if you're looking for somewhere in the city with a relatively American menu.

ETTA

River North, Chicago

Although I already reviewed their pizza, Etta is a great spot for any occasion, especially happy hour. The deals are better than most you'd find in River North, and the food was incredible. Even if you don't end up getting one of their delicious Neapolitan pies, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The espresso tequila shot & vanilla macaroon is a must-buy if you do end up booking a reservation!

ROCK BOTTOM BREWERY

River North, Chicago

The rooftop bar and grill at Rock Bottom is, lowkey, one of the better rooftop spots in the area. It's more affordable than most and it has some great food options. Here we have the house nachos with their brunch breakfast sandwich & deviled eggs. Nothing spectacular, but the menu definitely has its hidden gems, like the deviled eggs! Awesome views too for those that love dining outside.

PORTILLO'S HOT DOGS

River North, Chicago

Believe it or not, I don't actually come here for the glizzys. Although they're great, my go-to is either the charbroiled burgers or the Italian beef (dipped of course). I'd rank the Italian beef top 3 in the city easily, but that's another debate.
The burger isn't a very popular menu item, but it ranks much higher than a lot of burger joints in my book. Fluffy bun, juicy patties and melted American cheese...just look at it...

HEADQUARTERS BEERCADE

River North, Chicago

One of the more lowkey spots in River North, HQ Beercade offers a wide selection of beers on tap with exceptional food! Pictured is their grilled andouille sausage & fries, it was both phenomenal and cheap, an absolute rarity in this area. Btw, free arcade games!

DOREEN'S PIZZA

Dyer, IN

Although this isn't in Chicago, I wouldn't be doing it justice without a proper review. I did like the pizza a lot, it had a very sweet sauce that complimented the cheese very well. The crust was the highlight of the pie, not floppy and had a solid crunch. I'd give it a 7.1/10
